This car was meant to belong to Rosa and Des. Des tried to buy it once, then twice. And on the third time they were lucky.

This Orchid Metallic HQ GTS was orginally a Victorian Car that was advertised on the AMCS site (check out the Sold Section), but when I made contact, the car had just been sold.

Then I saw the same car for sale again, and I contacted the owner. I was arranging my finance, vehicle inspection and negotiating with the owner and was beaten to the sale of the GTS by another WA purchaser by a day or two late November last year.

The new WA owner also purchased a Ferrari and had to relinquish some of his other toys. So he advertised a HQ GTS for sale and when I called him he told me that the advertised GTS had been sold. We started up a conversation and he ask how serious I was about getting into a HQ GTS as he had another which he had just purchased from Victoria that he would sell to me. I saw the GTS the week leading up to Christmas and my wife and I purchased it on the 4th of January. It was obviously meant to be third time lucky.

The HQ GTS has matching numbers and has only covered 96,000 miles and has Black Leather Interior, Dual Head Lights and Electric Sun Roof all fitted from the Factory. The 308 V8 produces 300HP which is connected to a Top Loader Gearbox, a 9" Diff and sits on restored GTS Rims.

Most importantly I need to pass on a big thank you to my wife Rosa, as without her help I would never have got to own the GTS. One day we will also own a genuine LX SLR5000 Torana in our garage.
