He was a man who could make anyone feel important. He'd take time to sign his autograph for you and talk to you giving you his undivided attention. He was a lot more than a great driver. He was a gentleman like no other. You will be missed. But you will live on in the hearts and minds of all your fans.

For Brocky
Brocky was not only a great race driver he was the people's champion. He
was always there for his fans for a photo and a signature. I have watched or been at every Bathurst since 1969. I was a flag marshal at Bathurst and Amaroo park from 1975 to 79 and saw Brocky at his best. I was lucky enough to see his 79 victory when he won by 6 laps and broke the lap record on the last lap. This moment in time Brocky became a legend. 25 years later I did a lap at Bathurst in that same 79 car and it was one of the highlights of my life. At 48 years of age I haven't cried much but on Friday 8th of September 2006 I did. What a loss. We will always remember the King of the Mountain.

What a great gesture by AMCS to provide the opportunity for us his fans to say how we all feel. At 52 I had tears running from my eyes. Now I smile with all those great memories of a fantastic man.

Peter Brock was introduced to me by my husband along with Toranas and
Monaros around 10 years ago. On Friday when I heard of the accident I was in shock. I have cried and have been sad ever since. I don't know why, as I never had the priviledge to meet him, but I can see the kindness and generosity shine through his eyes and I know that the world was a better place with him in it. My way of remembering Peter is joining the Brock Foundation and giving them the support which he would have wanted. I, along with my husband, will never forget you and we will speak your name in our home and with friends always with pride.
Thankyou Peter, for everthing.
I will miss you.

I couldn't believe the news when I heard it, and I must say I'm still in
shock. The tears haven't stopped flowing since then. Our hearts are broken to know we will never see your smiling face again and hear your positive words of wisdom. Yes Brocky, you were so much more than an amazing racing car driver. You will always be an inspiration to me as you have been all my life. I will never forget you my friend. Rest in peace Brocky. Lots of white light

In 100 years time when we are all dead, Brocky comes back to life as a spirit remembered in timeless documentries for the legend that he
was.
I am priveliged to say that I got within a hand shake away from him
one day after a race when I was a kid I owned a V8 hatchback, my mate Ricky owned a VK Brocky.
I have taken this very personaly as I would a close friend.
He never died he just overtook us all and beat us to heaven.
Rest in Peace Mate

Friday 8th September will gone down as one of the sadest days in my 48
years. I hearing the great man had passed on I was & still am stunned. One of the hardest things I had to do was tell my 12 year old son - he burst into tears as he idolised Brocky just like me. I have been to Bathurst every year since 1972 & this year it will be very strange when I go down to the pits & not see the Legend down there signing autographs & talking to everyone. My son & I will be going up to the mountain this Sunday in my 1975 HJ 2 Door GTS Monaro to honour the King & then again at Bathurst next month - Rest in Peace Peter - We will miss you - Wes, Tracey, Jamie & Georgia.

Peter Brock

The MAN, the Legend, the Inspiration. I was introduced to you when I was 17. I had wished I had not left my Holden Jacket at home. Still have it hanging in my wardrobe. Many things have changed over the years but you have remained our Hero and the reason for some of our greatest memories growing up. Our son has purchased his first car and what better than an old Torana. Had to buy it to keep Mum happy! Motor Sport and Australia has lost a true legend but the memories will remain. Jodi & Family

Peter Brock
I can safely say that Peter Brock was the most amazing man I have ever
met. I have met him 3 times and have been in awe of the man since
Bathurst 1979. The best thing was that he remembered me from when I was
13 years old and had my photo taken with him when he was running the last year of Group C in 1984 at Barbagello Raceway. I heard the news at work and walked aroung in stunned silence. I got home and wept like a baby, it was then I knew I lost my hero. Peter, I will miss you as you had made wonderful memories for me and everyone else around you. My most heartfelt sympathies to Peter's family and close friends. Australia is so much a smaller place without you Peter, thank you for giving me inspiration.
Goodbye Peter.

Brocky you're a Born Champion. You have taught a lot to young people and myself. You will be sadly missed but I'm just glad I was born in your era and watched you take the Lion around the mountain taming them Fords.

Brock

When Brock was there
he would always be fair
he was king of the mountain
and drove with such flair
he raced like a demon
with pride in his eye
you would think he's on fire
coz man he would fly.
Now we cant see him
how life is unfair
if you look at the mountain
I'm sure he'll be there.

We love you Brocky, thankyou for sharing your life with us.

I think it would be nice to see all cars in the 1000 race this year have
headlights on for the race in respect to the King.

I was brought up in a family who was into motorsport, both my parrents
used to rally, but always looked up to Brocky.

My first memories because my age was his vc commy over Skyline at
Bathurst.

I always wanted to do that.

James Price

Brocky was the legend nobody can replace! I am fortunate enough to own a VC HDT. I am 40 years old and will never sell this car until the day I die. Never forgotten Brocky RIP.

Being a New Zealander it was very hard to ever see the meet the man in
person. I remember as a 15 year old going to the Nissan Mobil 500 Street
Race in Wellington NZ. It took me a day and a half to finally meet the man who had been my childhood idol. Bev Brock was kind enough as to take a photo of Brocky and I together. Well about 5 actually. And I'll never forget the time he spent talking to me with regard to what I did and wanted to do in life. I met my idol a number of times as the years went by in New Zealand and Australia, and each time he remembered me and asked about my racing. I have numerous signed Peter Brock items of Memoribilia which I will treasure for the rest of my life. I'm a grown man who has produced a number of tears in the last few days, and have the most sickening feeling in my stomach. For someone to be so famous, yet devote so much time to his fans, he must have been special. And indeed he was. A pure gentleman, and one hell of a nice guy. I'll miss
hearing his voice and wisdom.

BROCKY
To the Brock Family we would like to send our deepest thoughts to you in
this sad time. I personally never meet Peter Brock but I adored the Man of the Mountain so much that I even named my son Brock who even better was born in 2005 so he has the name and number. My partner met Peter several times and said the man was a legend and just a down right top bloke. We went to the memorial today at Sandown to pay our respects I thought the pain of his loss would be gone by now but no we cried big time at this wonderful send off, the Legend will always live on. Although I've never owned a Holden, I've still been amazed at Brocky's ability to drive fair and square. We lost two great Australians in one week but we will be thinking of Peter every time Bathurst comes around. Lets hope we remember 2 things about both losses:

1 / Peter and Steve lived their lives with passion, not just for themselves or their chosen field but for life, love, kindness to others regardless of color or background, so how about just doing them both a favor, be grateful every time your foot hits the floor after a nights sleep, that means you have one more day, thank God for the smallest things and be grateful for every moment.

2/ Regardless of the outcome on the 6th, lets all cheer for the winner, no matter what color, just like Peter would have done, alway's remembering that Brocky made himself available to every driver for any advice or direction he could offer.

He will alway's be with us now and even at 51, I cried too, lots of love to all of his family and lets put on a show he'd be proud of

Rest In Peace Peter

Thanks for giving all

Bob

WOW, what a man...
I have watched Brocky since the early 70's, and then married a Brocky fan.

Not only has Brocky put a mark on motor racing, but also on the lives of underpriveledged youth sick children and any he touched.

Brocky made time to make every person feel special.

My heart goes out to the Brock family, and I just want them to know that their father husband friend will always be remembered in the hearts of Australians everywhere.

"Live your Dreams" can't say it any better...

Rest in Peace Brock...
