Elton and Colleen's (P)ride
Heres our pride 'n joy - a midnight purple and white '69 Camaro SS. We look forward to seeing it on your great site.
Elton and Colleen explained that, "The car came from Portland Oregon in 2004 and we fully rebuilt it - all panels removed, back to bare metal, rust removed, electric tilt/slide sun roof installed, new interior, carbon fibre dash with Autometer gauges, CD/MP3 in the glove box, battery and amp in the boot, carpets and door cards renewed, sports steering wheel etc. Plenty of chrome, alloy and braided lines under the bonnet. Engine is a 350, Crane cam, fuellie heads, Edelbrock 4 barrel and Torker manifold and the gearbox is a fully rebuilt TurboHydro 400. Custom made ceramic coated exhaust, Top Gun leads, twin electric fans, auto transmission cooler.
Custom paint that looks jet black in most light but in the sun and under lights is a deep violet colour. The car has beentotally rewired with central locking and security as well as electric aerial and is wired for power windows and air con. in future.
The car has been featured in Cruzin magazine, Unique Cars and Queensland Street Car and has won numerous awards including 3 Top paint, 3 Best Muscle car, 2 Top Chevrolet, several Best Camaro and Peoples Choice awards. The car has been on the road since April 2004 and we drive it every weekend. I'm the secretary of the Queensland Chevrolet Car Club Inc and our family are real muscle car enthusiasts.
Cheers,
Elton and Colleen Walker
