In every model of GT's there is considered to be a "Best of Breed". In the XY it was the mighty GTHO, in the XA its the RPO83. For XB's its the Top loader Big Port American 351 Cleveland cars that were considered to be the Best of Breed.

According to Tim, "In 1973 Ford built 139 sedans and 75 coupes in the Toploader Big port combination. By far the majority of them were in Yellow blaze with 75 sedans and 15 coupes being painted this colour. The big port American 351 did not meet the change in emissions regulations that came into force in January of 1974 and cars from that time on were fitted with the Australian small port engine. Toploaders were replaced with single rail four speeds in about May 1974.

My car is a really nice driving example of this rare XB. I have owned the car for about 6 months. The previous owner has done all of the hard work and I am just enjoying it. The car is not a show car but it is in really good condition. It was built in December 1973 and is one of the last of this rare model. It was a very low option car with a push button radio and sports road wheels. The motor has had a bit of work done to it and runs quite strong with approximately 250 kilowatts at the back wheels. It gets driven quite hard when its taken out for a drive. Thats the way that good performance cars should be driven. Get them out of the shed and drive them hard."
