With the big 4V solid and the rest of the driveline in place - and fired and running - it's time to get the rest of the interior and trim in and sorted.

According to Geoff House of Powerhouse Ford in Cairns, "With the big 4V solid and the rest of the driveline in place - and fired and running - it's time to get the rest of the interior and trim in and sorted.
As mentioned in previous episodes of the story, the old Falcon 500 originally had the makings of a good standout car - Wild Violet, 351, 4-speed, black interior, and dual exhaust.

But it needed something extra to pick it up a bit from its' humble stock 500 origins.

The fully rebuilt engine has already been beefed up to a solid 4V and a metal shaker added, and now the interior has seen the addition of a fully restored original GT dash and all the other dash trimmings, new GT door trims, and the GT body stripes. And the seats are presently off being retrimmed in Fairmont/GT trim.

The white hoodlining was already there, so it was used - and it helps lighten the interior as well.

And the front and rear spoilers give it a more purposeful look.

With the white hoodlining, and without some subtle parts of the exterior trim, it is not a GT replica but it does have some of the more sought after aspects of the GT's.

I reckon this one will be on the road and being trialled and tested within a couple of weeks - and after everything is proven and tested, it will be off to a new owner."
