1967 Dodge Charger now for sale. One of 660 built in '67 with the 440 Magnum big block Chrysler V8, 727 Torqueflite auto and original 11 inch factory disc brakes.
The 440 was built by Hughes Engines Dodge Performance USA, with the original 440 stroked to 500 cubic inches with alloy heads fitted. The block has been decked, line bored and honed to suit pistons and rings by DC Racing.
Spec'd with forged crank and pistons, Keith Black H-beam rods, solid lifter Cam HTL 6064 BS3 Hughes, and with roller rockers. Intake manifold is a Edlelbrock Victor 440 high rise single plane deep port matched running a Demon carby. Larger oil pan fitted with baffles and high flow oil pump.
Transmission is a modified 727 built by Binstead Engineering Qld (Specialist in Mopar) with full manual reverse shift with A&A Competition 9 1/2" torque convertor with 3000rpm stall plus larger oil pan.
Hooker super competition headers ceramic coated with twin 3" exhaust pipes. 4 Core custom made radiator with original tanks and 2 large electric fans with custom made cowling. Brake booster removed and new master cylinder installed with direct linkage to brake pedal.
Chrysler 8 3/4" diff with traction lock, 3rd member and custom made tail shaft. Koni adjustable shock absorbers fitted and original rear springs have been reset.
Car is a camper body design with fold down panel between boot and interior of car and fold down rear seats and armrest. Original upholstery, extra gauges and floor shift and large tacho added. All plumbing in car for air conditioning, but not fitted. Factory fitted with power steering, radio and working 8 track. Wheels are 15x10 rear and 15x8 front.
Only done low mileage since motor and transmission/diff rebuild. All original engine parts go with the car. Engineered with Queensland Blue plate and club registration. Imported in 2004 with current owner since then. Atherton Tablelands, Nth Queensland car. (Ref. 5289)
