1963 Ford XL Falcon

Ford Australia's second locally designed Falcon, the XL featured heavier suspension, a sleek Thunderbird style roofline and the advertising slogan "Trim, Taut and Terrific". Ford was committed to solidifying the Falcon as a household brand and the XL Falcon sedan was received positively by the public, as reflected in the steadily increasing sales figures and by February 1964, Ford had sold a total of 75,765 Falcon XLs across all model variants.

For sale is this stunning, no expense spared concours restored Falcon XL in its original Broadmeadows Green and White roof and running the all original optional 170 cu in (2,786 cc) version of the Falcon six, which produced 75kw, with a 2 speed automatic transmission. Big dollar bare metal restored by the current owner and completed in 2016 including 2 pak paint in the original colour combination, new trim, reconditioned dash, working reconditioned original radio with AM and FM bands, rebuilt engine, automatic and diff. New suspension all round and rear sway bar fitted. New exhaust. Fully rewired. New chrome, reconditioned hub caps and new tyres. End Rust treatment throughout. All original glass including front windscreen, door glass and rear glass with all new rubbers.
