2002 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT - Australian Delivered ... (SOLD)

One of only ONE HUNDRED 2002 Mustang Cobra SVTs built world wide, one of 32 Coupes and one of only 6 in True Blue Metallic. This super rare Mustang features a hand built and signed 240 Kw 4.6 Litre double over head cam V8. The Aussie delivered cars were converted to RHD by Tickford to counter the Australian release of the new Holden Monaro in 2002. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.

With a Ford Australia order needing to be fulfilled, Ford SVT in the USA constructed 100 only special Cobra SVTs and shipped them to Australia to fulfill the Aussie Ford order. Converted by Tickford in Melbourne, these cars were sold through Ford dealers to the Aussie public for around $90,000. Interestingly, the 2002 Cobra SVT was never offered for sale in the US.

For sale is this stunning example in True Blue Metallic with Medium Parchment leather with Alcantera suede inserts. This super rare V8 is mated to a five-speed Tremec TR-3650 fitted by the enthusiast owner (the original Tremec T-45 is supplied with the car). In totally unrestored and original condition, this Cobra SVT is a terrific example of one of the rarest Mustangs ever offered for sale in Australia. Paint and panel is in exceptional condition and the interior is also in excellent condition with working A/C, power steering, power windows, the factory Mach 460 AM/FM stereo with 6 stack in-dash CD. The leather trimmed seats also feature the Cobra signature emblem embossed on the suede seat inserts.

Running the all matching numbers hand built, 240 Kw 32 valve 4.6 Litre double overhead cam all alloy V8, the Cobra SVT can race from 0 - 100 KPH in just 5.6 seconds and cover a quarter-mile in 13.8 seconds. The 4.6 Litre V8 is fitted with forged steel crankshaft and the Cobra is fitted with Brembo brakes and PBR calipers with ABS.

The owner has fitted Koni adjustable shock absorbers on all four corners with lowered King Springs and five-spoke cast-alloy 2003-04 Cobra Terminator wheels with B F Goodrich 275x40x17 front and 315x35x17 on the rear. The original 5 spoke alloy rims with tyres are included with the sale.

This is a fully complianced Ford Australia delivered Mustang so it can be registered in any state. The Cobra comes with the FTE Compendium, log books and owners manuals, colour charts, two sets of keys, the original new car brochure and also a rare Ford Dealer Service Training booklet. The car comes with the original air cleaner assembly and a set of ultra rare never used NOS Cobra floor matts.

This is a rare and collectable Mustang that offers an exciting entry point into muscle car ownership.
