1966 7 Litre Ford Galaxie Two Door Hardtop

$SOLD

Absolutely stunning and very rare 1966 7 Litre Ford Galaxie Hardtop, in one of Ford's most beautiful period colours, Tahoe Turquoise, with White roof and Parchment trim.

This was the first year for introduction of the new 428ci Ford V8, rated at 345hp, within two years to be renamed the Cobra Jet 428. In 1966 in an effort to add sophistication Ford chose to market the new big block engine under the more prestigious Euro style '7 Litre' designation. Although the most highly prized of the '66 Galaxie model line-up these unique Hardtops accounted for less than 0.5% of total production due to the high-end pricing.

Complete with magnificent plush bucket seats as standard with extended console for the up-rated C6 T-Bar auto transmission these 7 Litre cars were the epitomy of full sized sports luxury cars in the USA. This example is one of the nicest we have ever seen, and its already here in Australia! With factory power steering and dual exhaust it is equipped with up-rated front and rear suspension unique to the 7 Litre cars and is in outstanding condition having been fully restored in 2009. A huge documentation folder with restoration receipts is included.

Hard to find now like this even in the USA, and impossible to replace anywhere near this price. Also featured on Classic Restos with Fletch. Only three known in Australia. If you love old Fords just buy this, keep it and use it for at least a decade, you can thank us then. Perth, WA car. (Ref. 4585)

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
