1970 Ford Capri GT 5000 V8
So you thought a Capri GT running a 3 litre V6 engine was quick! How'd you like a 1970 Capri modded with a genuine Holden 308 V8 built by Peter Brock's engine builders to L34 specifications? Located in Sterling, WA.
Fully road registered, this original 4 cylinder car now packs a stout L34 spec 5.0 litre race engine built by Bathurst race winning engine builder Gown/Hindaugh (Vic). Blueprinted & balanced with race heads, Crane roller rockers, 650 double pumper Holley, L34 Scorcher dual point distributor with dual Accel coils. Brookfield modified and machined inlet and exhaust manifolds, race sump, guard and catch can.
Gears are swapped via a Super T-10 4 speed box, a 10½" clutch and the latest Hurst Shifter. 9" diff with single billet axles plus additional new crown wheel & pinion.
Braking is via Lockheed 4 spot front calipers with Girlock racing ventilated discs. XE Ford rear ventilated discs with XE Ford calipers. Koni front struts with Lovells springs and Selby Camber Kit and Koni rear sport shocks.
The car has been painted in Acrylic Onyx black with Super Roo decals and specially made 5000 V8 badges on the front lower guards to look like 3000 GT badging. The car presents in immaculate condition with professionally rolled guards and a moulded steel spoiler on the boot.
The interior retains a GT Capri stock look with new vinyl on the seats, original hood lining with new door cards and carpet. All the gauges work. A new crash pad will be fitted shortly.
The owner has also recently reconditioned the steering rack and all suspension parts. Riding on US Dragway 13 x 8" mags and fresh tyres.
Has been road registered in Tasmania (see mod plated) and is currently fully engineered and road registered in WA. Current engineering certification supplied. WA registered "Bthurst" plates non transferable.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
