One owner XY Fairmont, totally unmolested and exactly as Ford made this beautiful car in June 1971. Getting into this car gives you a feeling of great respect for the designers and factory workers who built these superb vehicles. It really is a joy to sit in, turn the key and drive.
All factory day one spec, 73,000 original miles, and starts and drives perfectly. The rebuilt matching numbers 250 CID 6 cylinder puts the power down gracefully and smoothly and the column shift auto is perfectly matched to the engine power and is as smooth as silk.
The interior is all original from the hood lining to the carpet and from the seats to the dash. The Saddle interior colour a lovely contrast with the Monza Green exterior colour. Amazingly never fitted with a radio so the one original owner must have just enjoyed listening to that beautiful engine note.
Riding on original steel rims with excellent Fairmont chrome caps and near new red wall tyres. Perfect original chrome from the bumper bars to the drip rails. Rubber boot matt and original spare in place with factory tools.
The car has had an external paint with original paint still clearly displayed in door jams, engine bay and boot compartment. No sign of accident damage and nil rust or parking dents.
This is a superb example and needs to go to someone who appreciates originality and wants to preserve the integrity of this rare and special survivor. In our Kingsgrove, Sydney showroom for your inspection. (Ref. 5340)
