The Ford XA Falcon 'Superbird' debuted at the 1973 Melbourne Motor Show, famous for its striking orange graphic on metallic silver. Designed for budget-conscious young buyers, the Superbird offered a sporty package at a lower price than GT models. Based on the Falcon 500, it was available in three colours: Lime Glaze/Jewel Green, Polar White/Cosmic Blue, and Yellow Fire/Walnut Glow, and featured a 302 V8 engine with transmission options and sporty instruments, only about 700 Superbirds were produced, and few remain in such condition.

Restored in 2010, this vehicle has been carefully preserved and maintained over the past 15 years. It has undergone a thorough restoration, featuring its original 302 V8 engine along with all associated components in the engine bay, including a 2BBL carburettor and exhaust manifolds; even the yellow top coil and distributor are still intact. The rebuilt C4 automatic transmission is accompanied with its original tail shaft and differential while also having reconditioned brakes and suspension.

This authentic Superbird in its stunning Polar White with Cosmic Blue accents, initially sold through Jubilee Ford Sydney on May 7th, 1973, retaining its original logbooks, owner's manual, production sheet and the initial NSW license plates. A well-known vehicle in NSW as it was featured in Australian Muscle Car Magazine Issue No. 51.

AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
