1974 XB GT Falcon - 66,090 km from new!
Stunning unrestored '74 XB GT Falcon in Yellow Blaze with only 66,090 kilometres from new. Now for sale in Perth, WA. Offers invited over $160,000.
It was the 26th of August, 1974 and a Mr. K Holyoak of Milperra, NSW visited his local Ford dealer, Dominelli Ford at Hurstville, NSW to purchase a new Falcon GT. According to the original sales invoice, Mr. Holyoak traded two Cortina sedans one from 1964 and another from 1965 stumping up $5,944.25 for his brand spanking new Yellow Blaze GT.
In his care for 24 years from 1974 until 1998, the car was then sold to the second owner a Mr. John Atherton with only 17,599 Kilometres on the clock. It was still wearing it's original number plates GYS-459 at the time. There is also a registration Pink slip noting the mileage in September, 1998 at 22,048 Klms while in the ownership of Mr. Atherton.
It was then sold to the third owner with a receipt for work to the car while in the care of a Mr. Ken Eather with mileage recorded at 27,590 Klms in August, 1999.
Sold to the current 4th owner by AMCS in 2004, the XB GT was still wearing it's original NSW number plates and showed just 53,014 Kilometres on the speedo (See photos from the 2004 AMCS ad at the end of the photo gallery).
Still in the care of the 4th owner, this stunning XB GT Falcon is offered for sale with a genuine 66,090 km from new. Featuring original Yellow Blaze paint, this XB GT Falcon has survived in incredible condition. It features the original matching numbers 351 2V Cleveland motor, 4 speed gearbox and 9" differential. During the current custodianship, the engine bay has been refreshed with new paint to the bay and engine and the bonnet has been repainted. Other than that, the car features all original acrylic paint.
Mechanically the car has been maintained regardless of the miles travelled and drives like a new GT Falcon. The current owner has added extractors (original manifold supplied) a Holley 650 carby (Original carby supplied) and fitted 15" Globe Bathurst wheels (original 12 slots supplied with tyres).
The interior is as you would expect all day one. This car is fitted with a Superfringe radio, original black trim, the original GT steering wheel with leather binding as they did in the day, day one carpets, hood lining and seat belts and all working gauges. Wind down the windows, lean back in those comfy high backed bucket seats and enjoy the strumming of that wonderful dual exhaust burbling in the background.
The GT comes with a letter of verification from Ford, the original sales invoice from Dominelli Ford, Hurstville, NSW and documentation showing the change of ownership and mileage at the time of the change underlining the authenticity and veracity of this special car.
A rare offering nowadays, this low mileage factory manual XB GT Falcon is a must for the GT collector or for someone who appreciates very good original unrestored cars.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
