1980 XD Falcon Police Car

$SOLD

Rare XD Falcon Police Pack believed to be driven by former NSW Detective Rodger Rogerson. One of only two XD's built by Ford with the same options (See Ford verification letter) and a very rare unmarked Police car. This was one of two cars delivered by Jubilee Ford to the NSW Police force. Supposedly, in the movie "Blue Murder", Rogerson's choice of car back in the day was a green XD Falcon.

Originally a 6 cylinder 4-speed manual now converted to a lively reconditioned 302 V8 Cleveland (appromiately 40,000 klms on the engine) and still running the original 4 speed manual gearbox. Running an Edlebrook 4bbl carby and manifold with extractors and mild cam. The big cop brakes work great. All V8 conversion parts professionally installed including power steering.

Professionally repainted in acrylic in 2015 and fish oiled throughout, the XD is totally rust free. The interior has been completely re-trimmed including the carpet and hood lining. The dash was reconditioned and the gauges painted white by the instrument fitter. 1,200 kilometres showing since the restoration. Too many new parts to list from the new exhaust and clutch, through to the drop tank cover and big chrome dual exhaust.

Riding on 8x15" Simmons with good rubber, this is a very rare ex. Police car that drives beautifully and could have interesting underworld connections. Goulburn, NSW car. (Ref. 5228)
