The Tickford-enhanced XR8 with its signature four circular headlights was a bargain performance package that took it to the streets as a great alternative to the HSV competition. Hard to find in this condition and for sale from our Sydney Showroom.
Tickford tweaked the 5 litre Windsor V8 to 170kw and added a tall 3.23:1 rear axle ratio. The Windsor V8 is a sweet, throbby engine and provides a good level of performance when combined with the 5 speed manual gearbox as featured in this stunning Le Mans Red example. Tickford also added the attractive body kit to the XR8 which includes the front spoiler, side skirts and rear spoiler plus the 16" Ford alloy mags currently shod in brand new Bridgestone RE003 225 50x16 tyres.
This XR8 is one of only 67 built in this combination and has covered a genuine 168,241 klms with log books, owners manuals and Ford letter of verification.
Paint and body are in exceptional original condition and still feature the original Ford VIN label stickers on the major body panels. The interior is also in excellent condition with only minor wear to the drivers seat bolster. The rest of the trim is in unmarked as new condition with original immaculate door cards, hood lining, carpets, steering wheel and crash pad. All gauges work as does the Air conditioning, original radio and power windows.
Originally sold through Sinclair Ford, Penrith, NSW, the XR8 has had two very careful previous owners. The XR8 has full NSW registration until January 2023. This is a super hard car to find in this condition and certainly a future collectable.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
