History:

This Classic 1958 Holden FC Special has been in the same family since it rolled out the showroom door in Brisbane of the same year.

The owner, Sebastiano, a migrant Italian owned a small farm and a suburban fruit and vege shop run by his son Angelo. Sebastiano bought the car for his son as the only family vehicle was a Ford truck which was used to take the produce from the farm to the store.

When Sebastiano's first grandchild arrived, the old migrant was certainly not going to have his grandchild driven around in a truck! He bought the Holden for his son Angelo and daughter-in-law. The car was passed over from father to son when Sebastiano died in 1966.

It has stayed in this family until today and also on the same property as the two families lived together - not uncommon in those days. The now surviving 3 grandchildren all learned to drive in this lovely family car in the 70's and 80's.

The Holden didn't do much driving as Angelo bought a second car in 1968, another classic, a 1965 Bel Air Chevrolet. The Holden drove the grand kids to school and was a local runabout. It was always housed in the garage with the family home and for about 11 years, it was stored without being driven at all. A truly loved family car for 60 years.
