1971 VH Valiant E38 R/T Charger .. Big Tank (SOLD)

This car is unbelievable, and simply irresistible! Because what you are looking at is a very original unmolested Valiant R/T Charger E38 6 Pack Big Tank! What A Car!

Stunning Mercury Silver paint from an older doors-closed repaint, wrapped around a perfect original straight body, with impeccable Black interior. These were one of the nicest seat/dash/steering wheel combos of the era. The 35 gallon 160 litre Bathurst tank is strapped purposefully into the boot, no-nonsense work by Chrysler engineers of the day. The twin external fillers are all class.

Magnificent engine bay with those three maestro tuned Weber masterpieces from Bologna, Italy with original air filter elements still in place. Legendary Chrysler 265ci Hemi six cylinder engine still runs superb, the sound gives us goosebumps.

The whole car is mechanically perfect and patina perfect, with a genuine Log booked 101,284 miles from new. It has never been pulled apart, never needed restoring, just a lick of outside paint 10+ years ago. Completely original and unrestored interior, trim, carpets, belts, under the bonnet, firewall, inside doors, boot, boot floor and under car. Original number plates and number plate frames still in place. Never been out of rego. Two Owners from new, they deserve an award! On just its second set of tyres - impossible to find Goodyear G800s.

One of only 224 Big Tank E38s built in 1971, and potentially one of the only ones left in this spectacular condition. This is the one for the Charger purist. Ready for any inspection, in our Kingsgrove, Sydney Showroom. (Ref. 4958)
