The Ford workers assembling the car would have never dreamt that one day the car they created that day in April '71 would return to the streets 50 years later transformed into this stunning Vermilion Fire XY GT Falcon replica.

The 2V 351 Cleveland V8 features a 4MA 351 crankshaft, reground 351 cast rods, Hypatec flat top pistons, Hastings piston rings, Durabond camshaft bearings, Clevite 77 series crankshaft bearings. The block was crack tested, acid cleaned, bored and honed. The 2V open chamber heads have been fully reconditioned with new valves, guides, seats and Felpro gasket set, Dynotec stage 3 camshaft, calibrated Holley quick fuel 650 double pumper carby, 4 barrel intake, with Mellings oil pump, new flat tappet hydraulic lifters, brass freeze plugs, Accel dizzy, ice coil and leads all surrounded by a perfect Ford blue painted engine with correct GT markings.
The 4 speed top loader gearbox has been completely reconditioned with a new XY shifter and linkages, Yella Terra clutch and fly wheel, new clutch and slave cylinder, clutch lines and tail shaft. The diff is a 9 inch with 28 spline axles and reconditioned LSD with new 3.89 gear ratio.
The interior has been re-trimmed with new foam padding, new carpet, console, door trims, arm rests, window winders, Venetian blinds, parcel shelf, crash pad, hood lining, dash and instruments. Even the heater box has been reconditioned and there is a new wiring harness front to back.
Fuel is supplied to the 351 via a Carter fuel pump, new fuel lines and a 36 gallon fuel tank with spare wheel bracket (Boot matt supplied). Brakes have been completely reconditioned with new callipers, rotors and bearings. New Bendix brake pads, rear brake cylinder and brake pads plus brake booster completely reconditioned with new diaphragm and brake master cylinder.
The suspension has been re-bushed with new upper and lower control arms, big sway bar with link points and bushes, new Pedder spring and shocks, leaf springs reset with new shackles and bushes.
The exhaust is comprised of Pacemaker Tri-Y extractors with new mufflers 2 1/2 inch to diff and 2 inch out the back with GT exhaust hangers.
Nothing and we mean nothing has been left unrestored. This is the whole package. No longer a humble Futura this GT Replica is ready to hit the streets. All the work is done. It just needs you in the driver's seat to complete the picture.
