Now for sale is a real American beauty. A stunning 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Pillarless 2 door hardtop. Located in our Sydney Showroom.

Has there ever been a more iconic American car than the ’57 Chevy Bel Air? We think not. It has become a symbol of its age. Representing American middle class postwar prosperity and now an icon of the 50's American car culture. A movie star in it's own lifetime.

The Chevy Bel Air was just the right mix of style, performance with an appealing price tag. It was a huge hit in showrooms and was a much bigger technical achievement than it usually gets credit for. Along with the pronounced tail fins and headlight surround vents and bumperettes that resembled a jet aircraft nose cone, the Chevy features technical innovations including the use of tubeless tyres, fuel Injection and options such as air conditioning, power door locks and windows.

Constructed at the assembly plant in Kansas City, Missouri, this 57' Chev is painted in factory two-tone Imperial Ivory White with Dusk Pearl paint, complemented by Red vinyl with Black cloth insert trim. Before its relocation to Australia, the car underwent a professional repaint. The chrome and stainless is all original and is in excellent condition and replacement tinted glass has been fitted.

Equipped with the era-appropriate 283 V8 engine and a 4BBL Rochester carburetor, factory power steering and 2-Speed Powerglide transmission connected to a standard differential and stock suspension system. The Chevy runs drum brakes all round (just fully serviced) and sleek 17-inch Foose chrome wheels with Nitto 215/50R17s on the front and 235/50R17 on the rear.

The interior of the Chevy is just outstanding with a full retrim in the factory colours. The Bel Air features incredible chrome work, the original AM radio, clock and Chevrolet badged tissue box. Driving is a breeze with factory power steering fitted.

In the boot is a new rubber boot mat and an original period correct spare tyre which still features an original tyre sticker. A full set of factory tools is also installed.

This is a stunning example of the famous '57 Chevy guaranteed to turn heads and impress wherever she goes.
