Now for sale is this absolutely gorgeous Candy Apple Red '66 Mustang Convertible. A superb example featuring the genuine matching numbers C code 289ci 2V with the factory C4 auto being replaced by a 4 speed Top Loader gearbox. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.
Absolute pride and joy of the current owner, this all matching numbers 289 2V V8 has been showered with love and care and presents in exceptional condition throughout. Owned for the past 23 years, the Mustang was imported to Australia in 2000 and converted to RHD by Mustang Specialist Mike O'Sullivan in Sydney in 2001.
Restored in the USA prior to importation and still in stunning condition to this day. Mechanically the owner has maintained the Mustang regardless of cost and the car is in perfect running condition. The owner replaced the C4 auto with a 4 speed Top Loader gearbox, added a 4bbl Edelbrock carby and Pacemaker extractors and a new dual exhaust system. The car has been fully serviced with all oils replaced.
The Mustang is optioned with power steering, power windows, power front disc brakes, grille-mounted original GT fog lights, dual exhaust pipes exiting through the rear valence, custom stripes and Styled steel wheels. The interior has been retrimmed in the correct Dark Red with the Pony trim option added. The Mustang also features GT Rallye Pack instrument cluster of tacho and clock mounted onto the steering column and centre console. The car is also optioned with power top, air conditioning (needs regassing) and AM radio with 12 stacker CD in the boot. All gauges work as does the horn. All chrome and brightwork is in excellent condition.
Convertible Mustangs are the most desirable of the early Mustangs and this example with many genuine GT options fitted in a hero colour makes for a highly collectible and enjoyable classic Ford.
On full NSW registration until 22nd July, 2023. Nothing to spend just enjoy this superb Mustang. Certainly a pleasure to own and a real head turner.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
