Now for sale a restored '69 Mustang Mach 1 351 M Code 4V Sportsroof in Silver Jade and Black interior located in our Sydney Showroom.

Ford's redesign of the Mustang for 1969 saw the car grow in size over the original Mustang Pony car allowing Ford engineers the room to install a variety of engines for the Mustang range. You could now option your Mustang with anything from a fuel efficient 200 and 250 Cui 6 cylinder, a small block 302 or 351 Cui V8 or perhaps the Big Block 390, 428 or 429 Cui V8s.

And for 1969, Ford introduced the Mach 1 distinguished by it's reflective side stripes, a pop-open petrol cap, dual exhausts, matte-black hood with simulated air scoop and NASCAR-style cable and bonnet pin tiedowns. It used steel wheels with white lettered Goodyear Polyglas tyres. A functional "shaker" hood scoop - which visibly vibrated by being attached directly to the air cleaner through a hole in the hood - was available, as was a tail-mounted wing and chin spoilers and rear window louvered blackout shade. The Mach 1 featured a deluxe interior with simulated wood trim, high-backed seats, extra sound deadening, remote sports mirrors, and other features.

FOR SALE is a great example of the 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1. According to the Marti Report, the Mach 1 was originally built in Seattle on the 31st January, 1969 and retailed by Burbank Motors, Burbank California. The Mach 1 was ordered in Black Jade with Black Knit Vinyl with the optional M Code 351 4V Windsor V8 engine, FMX automatic transmission, power steering, tinted glass, factory tilt steering column and AM radio.

The Mach 1 was imported to Australia in 2009 and rotisserie restored in 2020. The Mustang was restored in Silver Jade 2-pak including a full mechanical rebuild of the matching numbers 351 4V Windsor V8. The rebuild includes a mild cam, Edlebrock Performer manifold, electronic dizzy and 600 cfm QFT Slayer carby. Everything has been restored including suspension, brakes and the floor pan is in excellent original condition.

The interior has also been retrimmed in the original Black Mach 1 Clarion Knit vinyl seat coverings and door cards. The dash, gauges, steering wheel and T-Bar shifter are all in very good condition. The Mach 1 is fitted with new carpet and hood lining.

The boot has been fully detailed with new boot matt. The Mach 1 is riding on 17" Globe Alloy wheels, 225/45R17 front and 255/40R17 rear.

The Mustang is supplied with the Certificate of title, import paperwork, Victorian registration papers and two sets of keys.

Here is a great opportunity to purchase a super clean Mach 1 that has been obviously well loved and thoroughly enjoyed.
