For sale is an original LHD 1970 Ford Mustang Convertible, factory finished in Bright Gold Metallic with White vinyl trim. Powered by its period-correct 302ci 2V Windsor V8 and C4 automatic transmission, this outstanding survivor is offered for sale from our Sydney Showroom.

Built in June 1970 at Ford's Dearborn Plant in Michigan, this genuine Mustang Convertible was factory ordered in the elegant and highly desirable combination of Bright Gold Metallic with a White vinyl interior. It is powered by its period-correct 302ci 2V Windsor V8, backed by the reliable C4 automatic transmission and factory 3.00:1 rear axle gearing.

Presented in amazing maintained survivor condition, this Mustang has clearly benefited from long-term enthusiast ownership and careful maintenance throughout its life. The exterior paint and engine bay were refinished over 25 years ago and continue to present exceptionally well today, while the body remains remarkably original with excellent panel fit and straight lines. Most impressive is the untouched and highly original undercarriage, which is an outstanding testament to the car's preservation and authenticity.

This Mustang proudly retains its original left hand drive configuration, adding to its originality and appeal for collectors. It has also been tastefully upgraded with factory-style power steering, air conditioning and a power-operated electric convertible roof.

Earlier this year, the Mustang underwent a comprehensive mechanical overhaul, with the 302ci Windsor V8, C4 automatic transmission and driveline all professionally rebuilt and refreshed. The result is a beautifully sorted Mustang that starts easily, drives effortlessly and delivers the smooth, reliable performance these classic cruisers are renowned for.

The White vinyl interior remains wonderfully original, complementing the survivor nature of the car. The gauges, brightwork and trim all present exceptionally well, while the electric convertible top operates as it should, allowing open-air motoring at the touch of a button.

This is not a restored show car, but rather an honest, beautifully maintained survivor that retains the character, originality and charm that enthusiasts actively seek. With its desirable factory colour combination, original left hand drive configuration, rebuilt mechanicals and highly original presentation throughout, it represents a rare opportunity to purchase a genuine turn-key 1970 Mustang Convertible that is ready to be driven and enjoyed immediately.

AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 8.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
