1970 XW GT Falcon - Brambles Red
There's no other word to describe this Unrestored Survivor XW GT Falcon but Cracka! This proves that there are still some absolutely original day one untouched GT Falcons out there. This Brambles Red XW GT is blessed with mostly original paint, all original trim and an all matching numbers drive-line from the D block 351 4V Cleveland, 4 speed top loader gearbox and the 9" LSD.
And what a colour combo! Only 151 Brambles Red XW GT and GTHO Falcons were built making it a rare colour in the day and extra desirable nowadays. Plus, the fact that the Ford Works Race cars were all Brambles Red in colour makes this combo even more special.
The car presents in remarkable condition with all factory badging, only minor fading to the striping on the bonnet, a few marks here and there in the paint, some touch ups to some scratches and pitting to the chrome. The body is very solid with factory over-spray evident on the sills and undercarriage. The interior is all original with day one trim, carpet, hoodlining, all working gauges, excellent original steering wheel, Superfringe radio and only a re skinned crash pad.
Engine bay is also day one with all matching engine, headers, original radiator support with Vin stamping, perfect shock tower numbers and although currently running a Holley 650 carby, the original 600 cfm Autolite carby comes with the car. Even the original bonnet with factory installed spacers to allow the cool air to flow onto the brake master is there. Coincidentally the Vin number JG33KM 11743 has the car's paint code F 117 mysteriously inserted. Even the day one stickers are still accounted for on the fire wall, radiator support and shock tower.
In the boot the original invaluable boot mat is still in place over the optional 36 gallon tank, along with the Aquajet spare, orignal jack, tools and jack bag. Originally sold through Jack Brabham Ford in Bankstown, NSW the car still retains it's dealer sticker on the rear window as well as the original number plate frames. The car rides on factory 5 slot rims with excellent rubber.
There are not many original Survivor cars left nowadays and these cars are the ones that collectors are gravitating towards because of these unquestionable authenticity and veracity. Don't miss this unique opportunity to acquire this rare GT.
