This XY GT presents in beautifully preserved condition. The striking Quicksilver paintwork is complemented by the iconic orange reflective Super Roo stripes and its original beige vinyl roof. The vehicle has received an external paint refresh only, with the engine bay, door apertures, boot area and undercarriage all remaining untouched and retaining their original finish. This is a beautifully maintained example that has clearly been loved and cherished throughout its life.
Originally sold through Carl Robertson Ford, Southport, Queensland, this car has remained in the sunny state in a dry climate for the last 56 years. This XY GT has obviously led a charmed life. The remarkably preserved original interior reflects the very limited use the car has experienced over the years, with the odometer showing just 52,846 miles.
Under the bonnet sits its original 351 Cleveland 4V engine, backed by the factory FMX automatic transmission and original 9-inch differential. The car retains an impressive collection of original components, including its Bakerlite fan shroud, Autolite carburettor with identification tag, Shaker flap, original battery terminals and date-code-correct horns.
Factory-delivered with Select Integrated Air Conditioning, Power Steering and a Beige Vinyl Roof that has never been removed from the car and still retains its original stainless steel inserts in the gutters to hold in the vinyl, this GT represents a genuine one-of-one, according to its exact factory build specifications.
The interior is nothing short of spectacular, retaining its original black vinyl seat coverings, door cards, crash pad, dashboard fascia and hood lining, all presenting in remarkable day-one condition. It also retains its working remote RHS mirror and original dealer sticker fitted to the original rear window. Accompanying the vehicle are both a Ford Letter and ACCHS verification, further supporting its authenticity and provenance.
The underside is exceptionally clean and retains the correct tailshaft markings. The boot area is equally impressive, a rubber boot mat, five-slot spare wheel, factory tools and original jack bag.
The GT sits on its original five-slot wheels, complete with dress rims and centre caps, wrapped in classic orange-wall tyres to complete its unmistakable period-correct appearance.

Terms of sale
Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 8.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
Insurance & Transport
Upon receipt of full cleared payment, the Buyer assumes responsibility for the Motor Vehicle and must arrange appropriate insurance cover from that time.
Any loss, theft, damage or incident occurring after full payment, including during transportation or delivery, is the Buyer's responsibility. All vehicle transportation is arranged through independent third-party transport carriers, and AMCS accepts no liability for any loss, damage or incident occurring during transport. The Buyer is responsible for ensuring appropriate transit insurance is in place.
