The ULTIMATE Aussie Muscle Car in one of the BEST colour combo at a fraction of the cost of a "day one" XY GT-HO Phase 3. Now for sale from our Sydney Showroom.

According to the 1971 Ford Falcon XY GT-HO Phase 3 Register, Build No. 80 of the 300 GT-HOs produced was one of 200 Bathurst Homologation Units, specially ordered by John Hile Ford of Ryde, NSW.

Originally built in rare Surfer Orange, this GT-HO was 1 of 3 produced in this colour combination. At some point, the vehicle was reshelled, with the original Phase 3 driveline, interior, wheels and all genuine HO components transferred to the replacement body.

Today, it presents as a matching-numbers Phase 3 with a matching numbers H-code 351 HO 4V Cleveland, 4-speed wide-ratio 31-spline Toploader and 3.25:1 Daytona LSD-equipped nodular iron 9-inch differential.
The car retains an extensive list of genuine Phase 3 equipment, including the clutch master cylinder, rev limiter, shaker, 55-amp alternator, HO proportioning valve, vacuum tank and sway bars.

The original black interior remains, including the dash, steering wheel, gauges and crash pad. Underneath, it features the correct HO fuel lines, rear sway bar, dual exhaust hangers, factory markings, HO tailshaft, 31-spline axles and HO differential. The boot retains the correct 36-gallon fuel tank, breather tube and spare wheel bracket.

Most importantly, the compliance plate and shock tower stampings identify the vehicle as a genuine XY GT-HO Phase 3. A rare opportunity to acquire a highly desirable Phase 3 in one of the rarest factory colour combinations, retaining its genuine original Phase 3 components and specification.

Since acquiring the vehicle in 2023, the current owner has invested in excess of $100,000 undertaking an extensive mechanical and cosmetic freshen-up. The exterior paintwork has been refinished, with all chrome-plated components professionally restored.

The carburettor, distributor and radiator rebuilt and overhauled, followed by servicing, wheel alignment and dyno tuning. The fuel tank and fuel lines have been drained and serviced, window regulators and various other components throughout the vehicle have also been overhauled.

This significant investment has been carried out to preserve and present this rare GT-HO to a high standard while retaining its genuine Phase 3 specification.

Come and check out this absolutely killer Phase 3 at our Sydney Showroom. (Ref. 6860)

And if you like, we will gladly arrange a video inspection/road test of the car using WhatsApp and of course there is no issue with door to door transport anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.

Terms of sale

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 8.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
