What a beauty! Rare to find survivor 1977 LX SL/R 5000 Torana in Absinth Yellow with Tan cloth trim running the all matching numbers L31 5 Litre V8, M21 4 speed manual in sensational unrestored condition with log books and historical paperwork. For sale from our Sydney Showroom. 

Getting near impossible to find, genuine matching numbers LX Torana SL/R 5000 in its original 70's hero colour of Absinth Yellow with Tan cloth trim. This SL/R 5000 is in amazing original condition and features the all matching numbers L31 5 litre Holden V8 and M21 4 speed with 2.78:1 LSD. 

Built in March 1977 and originally sold through Les Vagg Holden in Pennant Hills, NSW, the Torana was originally used as a demonstrator vehicle for the dealership from May 1977 until the 6th of September, 1977 when it was sold to the first owner. The SL/R was further optioned at this stage with headlight chrome mesh, mud flaps, number plate frames, weather shield, tow bar and the slide back Skyroof. The sales invoice for this transaction is also included noting the sale price of $8,594 including $683 worth of optional extras. At this stage the Torana had covered 2,520 Kilometres. 

This SL/R is in amazing original condition and still features the original engine which was rebuilt in 2009 with receipts. The M21 gearbox has also been fully rebuilt at the same time and the car is running reconditioned brakes and suspension. The GU7 diff has also been reconditioned. The SL/R is running the 4bbl Quadrajet Rochester carby, GMH manifold, extractors and dual exhaust system. The Torana also features the original air cleaner assembly, fan shroud, radiator, battery leads, PBR brake master and booster.

The Torana was treated to a closed door respray around 2009 and presents in excellent condition with no visible rust, dents or damage. The engine bay, door jambs and boot are presented in original day one condition. The SL/R features original glass except the front windscreen. 

The interior features the all original Tan cloth trim, original carpets with all working gauges and 292,468 klms showing on the odometer. Included with the sale are the original log books, owners manuals, the original sales receipt, receipts, keys and GMH push button radio. The optional rear demister is in its place at the rear parcel shelf. 

The SL/R is riding on the original 13" steel wheels with the original hubcaps and Champiro GT Radials 185/70R13 tyres all round. There is the original boot mat, a standard steel spare with good tyre and jack. 

This is a great looking matching numbers and documented survivor Tory that you can buy with confidence and drive and enjoy it while it continues to appreciate in value.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
