The Unicorn !!!

$SOLD

The rarest of Australian Muscle Cars is being offered for sale for the first time in some 20 years!! Only one XY Ford was ever produced in Rothmans Blue and it happened to be a heavily optioned Phase 3 GTHO! Has been brought to a running roadworthy condition and can be sold as a road registered car. Sydney car

The rarest of Phase 3's was produced as a special order for the Rothmans cigarette company in 1971. The Rothmans colour tint was later renamed to "Bold Blue" by the Ford motor company. The idea was to give the car away as a promotional prize. Upon its arrival, the managing director at the cigarette company decided to keep the vehicle and instead gave a way a Vermillion Fire XY GT. It remained with the company for several years and has changed hands on three ocassions since that time. Ordered with cloth insert seats, an 8 track cassette player and sunroof, the car is without doubt one of the rarest of Australian Muscle Cars and therefore of historic significance. The Phase 3 is remarkably original and has survived in excellent order. It features all original panels, trim, running gear and most importantly engine! We at AMCS have spent the past weeks getting the car running and roadworthy, given the number of years it spent in storage. The car has been certified with a NSW Blue Slip and ready to be registered! Can be driven and enjoyed as is, otherwise stored as an appreciating investment. Note Restored Rothmans backed Matich race car of the era, as colour reference.

Terms of sale

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
