1970 HT GTS Monaro
Located in Perth, WA. Offers over $145,000 invited.
Current owner of 17 years is selling this stunning 1970 HT GTS Monaro in factory Platinum Metallic and Morocco Red trim. This genuine HT GTS Monaro was originally built by the GMH plant in Adelaide, SA as a 186S 6 Cylinder and has been subsequently converted to a 253 V8 approximately 20 years ago. Purchased by the current owner in 2004 from Victoria, the car has travelled 4,500 miles in that time.
Mechanically the car runs beautifully with a wonderful V8 burble. The current owner has added a thermo fan, rebushed the front end, installed a twin core radiator, reconditioned the front brakes and fitted a 2BBL Holley carby (Original Stromberg carby included). The transmission is 3 speed Trimatic and the GTS runs the factory diff.
The HT was painted approximately 20 years ago in factory Platinum Metallic and still presents well with a few minor blemishes and a very small rust bubble in front of the RHS back wheel.
The interior is immaculate, retrimmed around 20 years ago in the factory Morocco Red with excellent original red hood lining, new carpets, original steering wheel, working gauges, original radio and also a radio/CD player fitted into the glovebox. The GTS is showing 92,327 miles on the odometer.
Always garaged and used on weekends only. Full WA registration until December, 2021. XHT-253 plates are available for WA purchaser.
The GTS comes with 4 original hubcaps and a brand new Rare Spares GTS Steering wheel.

AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
