The Monaro expert/enthusiast owner chose to preserve the original matching numbers QT prefixed L31 block out of the car and this is supplied in a show case with the Coupe. The GTS runs an as per factory November 1973 HQ 308 block (was standard bore now 20thou pistons), fully balanced, with Brock Cam and roller rockers under original rocker covers.
All underbonnet bolts, screws, brackets, clips, hardware are genuine HJ with date coded Packard USA ignition leads and date code correct exhaust manifolds, carburetor, thermostat housing, VDO GTS oil pressure gauge, original accelerator cable & spring etc. The motor has had a 6 hour initial run-in and tuning on North Geelong Engines dyno for over a week with a final recording at 320hp.
