1978 Holden HZ GTS 5.0L 4 speed manual

SOLD  $69,000
Rare 1978 HZ GTS (Monaro) in Palais White with Buckskin trim and sought after factory L31 5 litre V8, M21 4 speed manual gearbox, with 3:36 diff combo. Also factory optioned with power steering and four wheel disc brakes.

This was the last of the second generation Monaros (by HZ times known simply as the GTS) and is relatively rare with only an estimated 1,438 built prior to the model replacement in December, 1979 with the VB Commodore.

Long term owner has just finished a 7 year highest quality nut and bolt restoration. Every part on this car is new - NOS or reconditioned. Perfect original body/chassis and tags. Running a QT coded 308 engine with original M21 4 speed and 3:36 diff.

Restored with originality in mind but a couple of sensible upgrades including electronic ignition, intake and extractors. Running 15 inch GTS wheels. Everything works as it should including the original radio.

This was the first Holden to be fitted with the RTS Radial Tuned Suspension. According to Modern Motor magazine - "At last! The Holden handles." Controversially it was to be the last GTS Monaro for more than 20 years but no Monaro badge is to be found anywhere on this model.

Comes with Holden Historical Services verification letter. Faultless condition and a must to inspect. In our Kingsgrove, Sydney showroom for your immediate inspection. (Ref. 5302)

Terms of sale

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
