1985 HDT VK SS Group 3 Brock Commodore # 2078
Henry Ford was not very generous when it came to his colour choice for the Model T. Any colour as long as it was Black. A young Peter Brock was only marginally more generous with the colour palette for his SS performance range of VK Commodores. He offered, Alpine White, Asteroid Silver and Formula Blue.
Now while some owners of these limited edition Brock Commodores chose to make their Brockie into a museum filler, some owners actually used their VK as the great Peter Brock intended - as a fast family grand tourer, Aussie style.
For sale is VK Commodore SS Group 3 Build No. 2078 which has certainly been used as it was designed but has survived remarkably intact. Sold new through Commonwealth Motors in the ACT, this VK presents a great opportunity to address a few areas of wear and tear to return it to it's Day One condition. Like renewing the sunburnt dash, some of the faded stickers and re-trimming the seats. Luckily, the owner has collected most of the items for this refresh with miles of NOS seat trim and carpet plus some NOS decals included in the sale. So all you have to bring to this Brock party is some easy elbow grease. And if you want, AMCS can organise all of this for you if you'd rather not do it yourself.
Best of all, Brock #2078 comes with its original 177kW LV2 4.9 litre V8, HDT enhanced B cast heads, the factory 4 barrel Rochester Quadrajet carburettor and port matched inlet manifold, the HDT Cold Air induction system with chrome air cleaner lid, factory M21 4 speed manual gearbox and 3.08 LSD differential. The factory long-range fuel tank, police-spec fine increment speedometer, 16-inch ‘Aero’ alloy wheels, Scheel seats and Momo/HDT steering wheel are all there.
Even the paintwork, mostly day one, is still in pretty good condition albeit with a few stone chips here and there and is nicely balanced with the factory optioned bonnet bulge and wind splitters. And all the documentation is included from the original sales invoice, the log books and all owners manuals, sales brochures, the original steering wheel and all 5 Aero rims with the full dress covers. And as already mentioned the hard to get NOS carpet and seat trim come with the package as well.
Only about 200 VK SS Group 3s were produced, the majority in Alpine White. So, if you are looking for a VK Group 3 that will revive easily and then drive and enjoy, then this is the one for you. Come and check out this Brock beauty in our Kingsgrove, Sydney showroom. (Ref: 5496)

Terms of sale
Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
