1985 VK HDT Calais Director #2319

$SOLD

Whilst Paul Hogan filmed 'Crocodile Dundee' in the Australian outback in 1985, Brock Director No. 2319 was cruising the streets of Walkabout Creek - aka - Alice Springs.

HDT #2319 was built 22 May, 1985 at Elizabeth, SA Holden plant, sent to HDT at Bertie Street, Melbourne, for conversion to a Brock Director and delivered to Kittle Brothers Holden, Alice Springs for the original owner who collected it from Kittle Bros on 9 Aug, 1985.

VK HDT Calais Director #2319 is 1 of 28 Cedar VK HDT Calais Directors badged by HDT (#2319 was the 10th) and 1 of 5 VK HDTs special ordered & sold by Kittle Bros, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek dealerships in NT between 1984 and 1986.

Now becoming thin on the ground this Brock Director is totally unmodified from new with all original running gear, original yellow Bilstein shock absorbers, original 9/10 velour interior, Eurovox 5 speaker sound system with joystick control, 15" HDT Aeros, 90L fuel tank along with the factory working Electronic dash, air conditioning, power steering, power windows, central locking, under bonnet light, power mirrors and power aerial. Cruise control is included but not currently working.

A full ownership history with log books and loads of receipts and HDT documentation is included. Even the Unique Cars ad when it was sold to the previous owner is there. The current owner has driven only 1,700k's in 3.5 years (100 kilometres in the last 12 months) so the car is definitely hidden, not driven!

HDT 2319 also comes with a HDT Letter of Authenticity and HDT Authenticity package plus an excerpt from Chris Sewell's official BROCK Commodore Bible showing build details.

The current owner has recently fitted an original 2 1/4" exhaust system, fully serviced the car and fitted a new steering rack, harmonic balancer and removed the 90L drop tank and had it cleaned, straightened and painted. 4 brand new Bridgestone tyres were also fitted and have travelled less than 500 kilometres.

After a lifelong dream of owning a VK Director - the car's build plate (#2319) is the postcode of where the owner grew up north of Newcastle, NSW, due to the lack of time required to enjoy his prized possession, the current now wants to pass the baton on to a new HDT-loving custodian.

AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
