The car that started it all and culminated in over 90,000 Holden Special Vehicles being made. The iconic HSV Walkinshaw. Build No. 442 of the 750 Walkinshaw VL Commodores is now for sale.
And with only 56,622 klms from new in the hands of only two enthusiastic HSV collectors, this is truly a rare opportunity to acquire an original unmolested HSV VL SS Group A Walkinshaw.
Build No. 442 features the original matching numbers 180kw 4.9L fuel injected V8 with those race-bred twin throttle bodies and a T-5 5 speed gearbox. The car was purchased by the original owner from Motorama Holden in Springwood, QLD. Religiously serviced as per the log books by the dealership from 1988 until 2002 when purchased by the second and current owner with 55,840 klms on the clock.The car is still sporting its original acrylic paint with minor touch ups to the front bar.
This Walky still has the throttle body restrictor fitted and factory A/C. The car comes with its service log books and owners manual. The interior is absolutely original with minor wear on the driver's bolster. The original radio cassette is in perfect condition and the electric aerial is still working.
The original spare tyre in the boot is unused and original tools and boot carpet are all there. Fitted with the original dealer installed Cobra alarm.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
