Unmissable opportunity to secure an ultra low mileage HSV VN SS Group A Commodore. Totally original and unmodified and immaculate VN SS Group A #495 with only 26,951 kilometres on the clock. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.

Under the Group A regulations governing touring car racing in the 1980s and 1990s, HSV's VN SS Group A race cars produced approximately 388 kW (520 hp), enabling 300 km/h with suitable gearing. Equipped with a specially homologated Hollinger six-speed transmission in race trim the VN SS Group A weighted in at just 1,250 kg, down from the VL Grp A Walkinshaw's 1,325 kg.

Race enthusiasts will remember that the VN campaign nearly didn’t happen. Group A regulations required 500 units of the HSV VN SS Group As to be sold. Luckily, CAMS bent the rules and HRT drivers Win Percy, Alan Grice, Neil Crompton, Brad Jones, Peter Brock and Andrew Miedecke got the green light to race at Mount Panorama. We all remember Brockie on two wheels coming down the mountain in the 1991 Bathurst 1000 Tooheys Top Ten and of course Win Percy and Allan Grice's win in the 1990 Toohey's Bathurst 1000.

With such illustrious race credentials and with only 302 Group A's ever built, there is little wonder why the VN Group As have become so collectible to Holden and HSV collectors.

In outstanding original condition throughout, this totally unmolested all matching numbers, HSV VN Group A is an unique opportunity for the savvy HSV collector to acquire one of the rarest HSV's and the last Group A Commodore model built. Build No. 495 has covered a genuine 26,951 km from new and features unmarked original Durif Red paint and equally immaculate upholstery and interior finishes.

Mechanically perfect with meticulous maintenance undertaken without thought to cost. The original 4.9 Litre V8, featuring four bolt mains and 215 kW @ 5200 rpm, the superb twin throttle body, cold air intake and electronic multi-point port fuel injection mated to the ML9 ZF 6 speed manual make this a seriously nice ride.

This is a fully documented HSV, originally sold through Eagers Holden, Toowoomba, Qld and delivered on the 7th of December, 1990. The Group A is supplied with the original Eagers Holden sales invoice, the receipt for interior fabric and exterior paint protection, owner's log books, manuals, Eurovox radio manual, Climate control instructions, two sets of original keys, service receipts plus an owners diary kept by previous owners of this very special HSV. Purchased by the current owner 16 years ago from a senior executive at Bridgestone Tyres Pty Ltd with 18,000 kilometres on the clock, the car has covered approximately 9,000 kilometres in the last 16 years.

The VN is riding on the day one original Goodyear Eagle ZR45 tyres and in the boot is the original unused Goodyear Eagle spare. The VN is fitted with immaculate factory Group A 17" alloy rims. And there is a spare genuine radiator hose, two fan belts, an alternator belt and a fitted car bra.

Here is Holden's final factory built race special - the VN Group A. Most definitely, the perfect weapon for the serious HSV collector.

Located in our Sydney Showroom for your inspection. (Ref. 6056)

If you wish we will gladly arrange a video tour of the car using WhatsApp and of course there is no issue with door to door enclosed transport anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
