1971 LC GTR Torana
One word comes to mind. Spectacular! Not only is this LC GTR Torana a 10/10 restoration, but this car embodies the very essence of Aussie ingenuity, shoe horning a large size sedan engine into a light weight agile sports car. This little beauty became the Torana legend under the direction of Harry Firth and in the hands of racers such as Brock, Bond and Holland
This genuine 4th month 1971 Silver Mist LC GTR Torana has been concours bare metal rotisserie nut and bolt restored, completed in 2020. The original 161S and Opel 4 speed have been upgraded to a fully rebuilt 173S spec engine with a re-conditioned M20 4 speed gearbox. And there's the correct twin barrel Stromberg carburetor and complete headers to muffler exhaust system.
The brakes have been fully rebuilt including reconditioned brake/clutch pedal box assembly, booster, master cylinder and all new brake lines. The fuel system has new fuel lines, sender unit and reconditioned tank. The rebuild also included the driveline, steering, suspension and a detailed undercarriage.
Inside the car has been fully re-trimmed and restored with nothing left untouched including new seat foam, front seat base springs, parcel shelf and a meticulous dash cluster restoration.
The wiring loom has been restored front to back. All body and door rubbers have been renewed. Basically, everything has been restored or replaced.
The odometer indicates 11,054 miles and the GTR has travelled approximately 1,000 miles since it’s restoration.
This is a first rate LC GTR meticulously restored and presented with nothing to spend. This is a fully sorted GTR ready to be enjoyed. Jump behind the wheel, blip the throttle and you'll fully understand the meaning of the catchy Torana slogan - When you're Hot, You're Hot.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
