AMCS is proud to present this genuine 1972 LJ GTR XU-1 Torana for sale. And she's a little ripper! Rare and desirable colour Chateau Mauve Metallic paintwork and original Black trim, this Torana XU-1 has been kept as close to original and correct factory specifications as possible. All matching numbers JP block with correct intake manifold, exhaust and diff. Head was replaced under warranty in 1972 with a genuine XU-1 head dated 11-1972. And that wonderful Premium 98 is still pumped through this little beasts veins with the original numbers correct triple CD Strombergs still working a treat. Gears are swapped through the original Aussie close ratio M20 gearbox and the beefier factory installed optional 3.08 Banjo limited slip diff.
The black interior is all original from the seats to the original door cards and headlining with only the carpet being replaced. The original AM radio is still installed. The car has never been involved in an accident and has never had any panels replaced. The car was repainted in two pack paint in the 90's and still presents in very good condition to this day. The engine bay and boot have been professionally restored to concours specs. Riding on the original XU-1 steel wheels and good rubber.
The compliance plates have never been removed from the car. Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
