This one is a pearla! A genuine faultless XU-1 Torana in stunning factory Orchid Metallic with Black trim. Repainted approximately 16 years ago and still presents in showroom condition to this day. Running the all matching numbers JP 3300 engine, correct XU-1 head, correct Triple CD Stromberg carbies through to a factory exhaust all adding up to a delightful giant killing cackle from this pocket rocket. Listening to this beauty makes you feel as if you are on the starting line with the young Peter Brock looking down the barrel of 500 grueling miles behind the wheel of this glorified go cart.
This is why collectors want these terrific little race bred Holdens. They really are simply a work of art. Built at the Acacia Ridge GMH plant in Brisbane, this LJ has been owned by the current Torana enthusiast since 2006 and has been used sparingly with perhaps only 600 miles covered in the last 15 years. Along with its original JP engine, the XU-1 features the original 899 Aussie close ratio M20 gearbox and the 3.36 ratio limited slip diff.
The interior is presented in factory original Black vinyl with excellent door cards, seat belts, carpets and headlining. The original AM radio is still installed and works perfectly as do the instrument gauges. Showing 30,777 kilometres, it's obvious that this XU-1 has seen light work given the that the grain is still present in the steering wheel.
Riding on period correct Bathurst Sprintmasters with older tyres. The XU-1 comes with a Holden verification certificate, an original Torana Owner's manual and also two sets of keys.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
