1976 LX SS Torana Hatchback 4.2L
For sale is this pristine unmolested LX Torana SS Hatch in Cotillion White with Slate back golf ball trim. Running the factory matching numbers 4.2 litre V8 and T-bar Auto, this SS Hatch still retains it's original black trim and was originally sold through Preston Motors, South Melbourne.
With the original owners manual and log books, this SS has travelled a genuine 163,395 klms from new. The car was re-painted on the outside only in 2000 in acrylic on a rust and damage free body with original paint still featuring in the engine bay, boot and door jambs. The car also features the original style gold and black SS striping on the flanks.
The interior is in amazing condition throughout. All the gauges work and this SS is still fitted with the original AM radio, seat belts, original carpet, the original spare wheel particle board plus the original 13" spare wheel and tools.
Mechanically the car is totally stock and super reliable. The engine bay is very original with original decals, paint markings, Stromberg carby and standard exhaust manifold. The car features the original horns. And take a look under the dash and you'll notice all the wiring is mint.
Riding on original 13" Torana steel wheels and genuine mint hub caps. Also included are the original keys, GM mudflaps and rear window venetians.
All the glass is original except for the windscreen. The SS badge in the grille, front spoiler, the aerial and radio are all still original.
This Torana has survived being cut up and modified into another A9X look-a-like, is extremely reliable, drives beautifully and with the 2" through to 1 7/8" dual exhaust fitted makes a nice old school V8 note.
And to top it off, this special Torana has been signed by the ONE AND ONLY Harry Firth on the glove box lid!!!

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
