Torana SL/R 5000 ex-show car now for sale. Getting near impossible to find, genuine matching numbers LX Torana SL/R 5000 in its original 70's hero colour of Mandarin Red with black cloth trim. This SL/R 5000 is in awesome condition and features the all matching numbers L31 5 litre Holden V8 and M21 4 speed with 2.78:1 LSD.
The car has been tastefully upgraded to A9X specifications with A9X flares, bonnet cowl, 8 inch Hotwires and a nice dose of chrome under the bonnet. The car has been repainted at least 10 years ago and was a well known show car in it's day. The under bonnet mirrors are still in place and the underbody is chromed and fully detailed.
In addition, the engine has been rebuilt within the last two months. The M21 gearbox has also been fully rebuilt and the car is running reconditioned brakes and suspension. The GU7 diff has also been reconditioned. Receipts for all the work are included in the sale. The car has a restored radiator, new heavy duty alternator, standard manifold, new 4bbl Rochester carby, Pacemaker extractors and dual 2 1/2" stainless exhaust system. The SL/R 5000 is fitted with a authentic 120L alloy drop tank.
The interior features the all original black cloth trim, original carpets with all working gauges and 19,314km showing on the odometer.
The car has been treated to brand new Lovells springs and KYB shocks and the Tory is riding on period correct genuine 14" Cheviot Hotwire wheels with brand new Bridgestone 245x50x14 tyres on the front and new BF Goodrich 265x50x14 on the back. There is a standard steel spare with good tyre and original tools in the boot.
Known ownership with the car stored for the last 25 years. The Torana features all original panels and is damage and rust free. Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
